In case you haven’t noticed, I love what I do. I love treating the various conditions my patients present with when they enter Oak Point Health and Vitality Centre -- conditions ranging from infertility, chronic migraines, digestive issues, and other internal medical concerns. But, truth be told, my personal passion lies in treating sports injuries.
Thanks to non-stop inquiry and study throughout my career, I’ve formulated a method to effectively rehab both athletes and weekend warriors back to health using a combination of acupuncture, manual therapies, corrective exercises, and structural alignment. By blending all of these modalities, we restore proper function and eliminate any pain that may hinder active individuals from doing what they love and reaching their fitness goals.
Something else I love is when Oak Point gets emails, phone calls, and even text messages from our patients -- sometimes only one day after their treatment -- thanking us for helping them feel better. Many times, they are simply in awe of the results attained in a single visit. This goes double for those who’ve been to many other clinics only to receive temporary relief, vague diagnoses, and no answers as to why they got injured in the first place. For this post, I’d like to share with you one example of such positive feedback.
These texts were sent by a patient who is very active, someone who takes his workouts quite seriously. He first came to Oak Point complaining of severe low back pain, but very skeptical about acupuncture. Here’s a brief synopsis of things went:
I evaluated him and quickly determined that the low back pain was the result of his weak hip muscles not firing/activating. His body had to then compensate thus bringing excessive pressure and abnormal wear and tear on his low back, causing it to recurrently “give out.” This uncomfortable pattern prevented him from doing certain exercises and kept him overly cautious about doing anything that involved his low back. After just a couple of sessions, his pain was gone and the above text exchange happened.
Results like these are what fuels us here at Oak Point. We thrive on knowing we’re helping our patients achieve their full potential and optimize their health naturally.
If you or someone you know might be suffering from pain that hinders performance, contact us today for a complimentary consultation. Who knows? You might be the next email or text we read!
